About Us
Davidson Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade is an entirely volunteer brigade of the NSW Rural Fire Service located on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
As a part of the NSW Rural Fire Service we are responsible for protecting people and property from bushfires in the Davidson, Belrose, Frenches Forest, Forestville and Killarney Heights area, which includes over 10,000 homes. We also assist in other fire incidents such as car and structure fires, search and rescues, storm damage and other emergencies.
Our Brigade has more than 100 volunteers who commit thousands of hours every year servicing the community. Our volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Last year the Brigade contributed over 9,500 hours in service of the community.
Davidson Rural Fire Brigade was established in 1976, having relocating from Forestville where the Forestville Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade formed in 1950.
